People are Basically Good

I hope you smile, I did! Thanks Day Book :)

The Coziest of Cozies

I know I didn't show you how to really do this. But my sister Alyssa anad I spent the majority of our thanksgiving break crocheting. We are truly beginners, but we had fun looking up patterns and trying new things. I made a scarf with four different stitches-undid it, half of a sock-undid it, and a hat that would fit a polar bear-made a mess while I undid it, all before I got a hat that fits and is quite cozy if I do say so myself. It was a marvelous sight..especially because it was 80 degrees out side and we were in our swimming suits in Palm Desert. But it was definitely worth the time and effort we had a great time together. Find someone to chat with and start playing with your ball of yarn!

Called to Serve

My sister Alyssa started her papers to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, the day after the announcement that Sister Missionaries could serve a mission at 19.
We drove up to Utah to watch her open her calling only a few weeks later. We were all nervous to hear where she was going to go. And sad to have her leave for a year and a half, but excited for her new adventure.
She couldn't wait. But was more nervous than the rest of us. Enjoy the movie!

Skipping to Winter

My family and I drove up to utah this weekend, leaving the 70 degree weather and trading it out for fresh fallen snow. I thought it was so funny I had gotten so excited to see some leaves change color when we went to OCMCO, but going to Utah, yellow trees dabbed in white paint, Utah must have missed the memo that it's still fall. But it was so fun to be the for the first snow of the year. It should be a good ski season :)
I love how the trees still had their leaves when the snow came, it made for pretty pictures!

My best friend who moved to spain couldn't fit these boots in her suitcase so I got the blessing of beholding them :) I love them a lot! In California they keep my feet the perfect temperature, but i swear, I felt like I needed 18 socks on underneath them when walking in the snow. Thanks TESSA LYNN
Ok I have a weird thing for cool walls. This is an abandoned home that is too old to be torn down, because the city thinks its history. Its oddly out of place next to all the apartments in Provo. But it sure was a cool wall!

This is ma familia! Heather and her husband Daniel, my mom and dad, Brooke and her husband Devin, my brother Jonathan, and me and my sister Lyssi!

We were a little early to dinner at my aunts house and she still had people over, so we took a drive up the mountain and got out at the top. It was stunning. We could see the provo valley to one side and the salt lake valley to the other. It was stunning....and freezing.
I took this one from the car window, focusing on the rain made it much more interesting to look at. Jonathan and I played the rain game where you pick a rain drop and see who's drips to the bottom first. It reminded me of Georgia driving to church in the rain. I love family road trips!

The Wedge

Jared, Tyler, Joel and Matt took me to "The Wedge" a couple of weeks ago. The waves they are able to body surf are amazing! I'm surprised none of them died.
I loved capturing the moment they finally caught a wave.
It is insane the way the waves crash right on the sand, and they still choose to go out there.

It was one of the brightest days we had had in a while, so getting the right setting took a while.

Loved sitting on the soft sand.
 Feeling like pros.

I love the way you can stop a moment in time with a click of a button. look at how the water falls, and you can see every droplet.

It gets crazy at the wedge; it is so funny watching from the rocks. Every one is cutting eachother off, but they are very much content with it. It is a gentlemen sport i suppose.

Finally Fall

Im from Georgia, where in the fall the leaves on the trees turn magnificent shades of red orange and yellow, the air gets chilly, and there is a smell of pumpkin spice in every home you enter. But i have been deprived of that glory since living in California. It wasn't till today when we got to OCMCO (Orange County Mormon Choral Organization) Practice in New Port, that i saw the beauty of Fall. I was so excited i had my camera! It was GREAT lighting too!

Thats me!
i hope you enjoyed my ode to Fall
