Tryin to Float Over Here

So Tessa showed me an awesome blog, where the girl does these amazing Levitating photos. She and I did a few while i was in spain. Then when my dad saw he wanted to try. These are our version of the levitating photos. I don't have the awe-stricken words that Tessa's mom has to explain the wonder of flight. I don't have the talent to make it look so easy...but instead i for some reason just keep looking over my shoulder like something really strange is happening over there. But alas. Here's our try in floating through life. Not quite able to yet, but one day, life will allow me to fly.

Summer's Foreshadow

My cousins came to visit for the day and the sun came out just in time. People have decided that it's summer time and it is ok to invade our beach. But it's only spring break, just wait until it's summer, bubt I'll be in Utah so I have to soak up the waves now. Sure going to miss my beach.

Just a Georgia Gal

My Georgia Home

This house, is the place I called home for ten years. I was barely four when we moved in, and we left just before I turned fourteen. It was here I lost my first tooth, and my first gold fish. It was here I dreamed of becoming Clara from the nutcracker. Here I fell asleep listening to the grand piano being played in the parlor in that room behind the tree. I played indians in that back yard. I played orphans, Harry Potter, and mermaids in the front. I said goodbye to Heather as she flew to Utah to go to our dream school. That dream of becoming a BYU cougar started here. It is amazing to think that that dream has come true. That I am a BYU student now. That I fulfilled that dream. Although I now live on the other side of the country, with a whole new life, Georgia will always be home. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to live there. I have learned to love California and all that it offers, it too has become home. I found out, that home is what you make it, and I fully intend on making my BYU dorm a home where I can accomplish my dreams.

That's how i see it,

Joshua Tree

 climbing the tall trees.

posing like joshua trees

For spring break, after we dropped Alyssa off at the MTC, B&D and H&D drove back to CA with my mom and I, for the nice 10 hour drive...needless to say, it was a long drive. But it has been well worth it. My dad and brother met us in Palm desert, and we have been enjoying the spring weather. Today we went to the national park, Joshua tree. It was quite enjoyable, even the three hours with 8 people in the 7 seat car. we elbow-danced to Send Me on My Way, by Rusted Root. I loved that moment. I sure love my family, missed Alyssa.

A Mormon Formal...Mormal

Kory and me <3 p="">

why yes. those are marshmello guns.
and yes. my shoes are ORANGE...and four inches tall :D

So because school dances are more often than not quite raunchy, the LDS church puts on a Mormon Formal, "Mormal" for the youth to be able to enjoy a clean dance together. It is always a ball. Because i turned 16 (the age that you are allowed to go to said mormal) when I was a sophomore, I have been to five mormals(2 sophomore year, 1 junior year, and 2 senior year), and two Proms (sophomore, and junior years....senior year prom was exnayed due to graduation, and moving on to bigger and better things). Above was my mormal #4 at Kory's mormal. I was SO excited for this one, because Kory is 6'4".....which means i get to wear HEELS....very exciting. but really, a dream come true. I could go on, and tell many stories, but I am tired, so just know....we had a BALL!
